New Blog Theme: “Rebelling with Style”

It’s been a while since I last updated the theme for this blog. Today, I finally had some free time, so I decided to experiment a bit and create a new theme—perfect timing since I recently upgraded Inkscape to version 0.45 and wanted to give it a try.

For this redesign, I went with a minimalist approach, while still staying true to the previous theme of “Rebelling with Style.” But before you start wondering what “Rebelling with Style” actually means, let me explain the idea behind it.

What Does “Rebelling with Style” Mean?

Rebelling with Style is more than just a catchy phrase—it’s a reflection of my personal mission. It’s about pushing back against frustration, dissatisfaction, and the challenges I see in the open-source movement in Indonesia. Progress often feels slow, and the lack of support from various sectors can be demoralizing. But instead of giving in to that frustration, I’m choosing to channel it creatively, using simplicity as a tool to fight back.

Yes, we’re fighting against monopolies. Yes, we’re trying to reshape our future. But we’re doing it in a way that’s uniquely ours, with style. Even if we don’t succeed in breaking through, we’ll at least be able to laugh at ourselves, remembering how we gave it our all and embraced the moment.

Why This Theme?

With that in mind, I wanted this new theme to capture those feelings. I kept it minimalistic, clean, and straightforward because sometimes less is more when you’re trying to make a statement. But underneath that simplicity is a deeper message—one that’s about resilience, rebellion, and a bit of humor in the face of challenges. I hope this design reflects my feelings and mission effectively, and that it resonates with those of you who visit my blog.
